The designer was born in Italy and grew up in a small village surrounded by vineyards and hills.
Monica formerly trained in fashion in the United Kingdom, initially with Jessica Ogden, Camilla Staerk, Paul Smith and as costume designer for Charity Trimm at the Edimburgh Fringe Festival.
Back in Italy she worked as a print and fashion designer for Sergio Perrero, alongside directors Simone and Lenka Sandroni for Deja Donné contemporary dance company and, as a stylist, for the theatrical musical Mulin Rouge.
Monica now lives between Auckland, New Zealand and her home country in Europe.
